With incredible sensitivity and confidence at once, Sarah reflected back the core truths she heard me share. Her insights were direct and honest, and she continually gave me critical questions that transformed the way I saw myself in my work and in my career.
— Rabbi Bec Richman

As a leader you are passionate, tenacious, and dedicated -- and maybe at times overcommitted, isolated, and unsure.  Wouldn't it be nice to have a thought partner for the gnarliest parts of your job? Or to have someone in your corner whose only agenda is to support your leadership?

The good news: you don't have to go it alone.

Coaching is intensive professional development driven by your needs and goals.  Over time, we work together to address the mindsets, behaviors and systems that need to shift to improve performance and well-being.

Who I coach:

  • CEOs and Executive Directors of social change organizations

  • Social change leaders stepping into greater responsibility & new managers

  • White social change leaders navigating their anti-racism and anti-oppressive leadership journeys

Coaching brought me back to my values and helped me find the way back to myself: a person who loves working, and engaging with employers and colleagues, a person who is enthusiastic and proud of the work I do.

Sliding Scale for Individuals Paying Out of Pocket

While most clients pay through their organizations, when this is not possible I offer a sliding scale for individuals who must pay out of pocket. Please reflect on the following questionnaire to determine your rate. This scale is sourced and adapted from AORTA Coop

  • Are you and your family homeowners or landowners?

  • Have you attended private education institutions or do you have an advanced degree?

  • Are your bills or credit cards on autopay?

  • Have you not had difficulty accessing and affording healthcare or health insurance for you or your family members?

  • Do you have zero to no debt and/or do you have disposable income?

  • Do you have a safety net composed of “financially stable” or wealthy family and friends?

  • Do you have U.S. Citizenship?

  • Does your income only support you, and not other loved ones?

  • Have you or do you expect to inherit money or property?

  • Have you (or could you) have attended college and/or graduate school?

If you answered almost all no → you pay 45% of the Nonprofit Rate above

If you answered more no than yes → you pay 55% of the Nonprofit Rate above

If you answered more yes than no → you pay 65% of the Nonprofit Rate above

If you answered all or almost all yes → you pay 75% - 100% of the Nonprofit Rate above

Some further reflections on sliding scales by  Hadassah Damien, feminist financial educator:

“Everyone’s financial reality is complex! Mine, yours, anyone you can think of. This is a guide, not a prescription. You know your financial reality better than anyone or any scale, period. There are lots of experiences and situations not covered here – place yourself as you best can, being honest and self-loving...

...Often we find that folks who’ve experienced early-life abundance who are *currently temporarily scarce* select lower on the scale than people who’ve experienced early-life scarcity who are temporarily abundant.

...It’s ok to have resources! And it’s ok not to have them. That’s what a scale is meant to account for. Please use this as an opportunity to examine your resources (or lack thereof) and situation holistically and generationally.”
